About Me

WHO I AM

I think Jesus is RAD! I am originally from Northern California (Sonoma County – the wine country), but now live in Northern Colorado. I am married and have three teenagers and two dogs (They too are also from California, except the dogs they are from Missouri… Long story). I love to run, read & I love tea mucho. The thing I think about most (Besides Jesus, my wife, my kids, and ministry) is the Northern California coast – I really miss it… Oh and I really love Rocky Mountain National Park! Education info if you care – I have a BBL (Bachelor in Biblical Literature) degree from Ozark Christian College & MAOL (Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership) degree from Lincoln Christian University (in process).

WHAT I DO

I have worked in leadership and management in two companies for ten years prior/simultaneously to vocational ministry (one being a Fortune 500 company). In ministry, I have served in churches in California, Missouri, and Colorado as a pastor in the areas of student ministry, preteen ministry, and family ministry for over 16 years. Currently, I am the Director of Student Ministries @ LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont, CO. Along with serving, coaching, and leading our student ministry staff, I also lead our High School Ministry. I have helped write books, articles, and teach workshops at conferences about preteen ministry, student ministry & parenting, but nothing makes me happier or gets me pumped than helping teenagers discover, grow, and live out their faith in Jesus for the kingdom of God.

WHY THIS BLOG

One of the things I love is to have open and honest conversations about what it means to Love God and Love Neighbors. Additionally, there is a need for collaboration on this subject and really any subjects worth talking about. My hope is that this blog will be a platform for conversation and collaboration on the subjects of theology, Christian formation, leadership, and youth ministry. More importantly this is my personal blog and I reserve the right to talk about spiritual stuff in general, my family, history, running, and really, anything else that crosses my mind.
